The Director provides leadership to the Medical/Surgical Unit, while overseeing the delivery of nursing care. Responsible for managing the personnel in the accomplishment of designated goals, objectives, standards of purpose, operating policies & procedures, hospital policies, and ensuring hospital standards & regulations are followed. Evaluates the effectiveness of care, addressing any issues that affect the desired patient outcomes, ensuring that age & culturally appropriate care is given, ensuring departmental compliance requirements.

Full time. Must have current New Mexico RN license. Experience is required. Current Operating Room experience preferred.

Full Time. Primarily responsible for preparing the operating room by setting up the equipment and sterilizing tools that are necessary for the operation. May also assist doctors by handing them needed instruments during surgery and for counting sponges and needles before and after the operation. Deliver specimens to hospital laboratories for analysis, and after operations take patients to the recovery room.

PRN. Performs a variety of chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnoses and treatments of disease. Minimum Qualifications: 1. MT (ASCP) Registry or equivalent or MLT (ASCP) or equivalent, 2. One year experience as a generalist in all areas of the laboratory.
