Artesia General Hospital Radiology Imaging Services provides painless, noninvasive examinations in a variety of areas. The population growth in our community, one of the fastest in the State of New Mexico, has contributed to Artesia General adding a number of new technologies.
The General Electric Light speed Computerized Tomography (CT) scanner is state-of-the-art technology. The Light speed allows for faster acquisition times, and shorter wait times.
Artesia General also maintains other advanced diagnostic imaging technologies in the areas of general radiography (x-ray), fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and women’s services such as mammography, general ultrasound, OB/GYN Ultrasound and vascular ultrasound.
Artesia General offers Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), one of the most advanced ways of seeing into the human body, making it the preferred diagnostic tool for brain, spinal cord and joint disorders.
To interpret the medical images, full-time radiologists are on staff daily. Artesia General also provides Night Hawk medical image interpretations through the Radlinx Group for after hour CT interpretations. The technology acquires, displays, transfers and stores the medical images.
